For several years, Gildi was responsible for collecting union dues for the labor unions Efling, Hlíf, and the Association of Hairdressers, which has now joined the Union of Industrial and Technical branches (FIT).

These unions have now taken over the collection themselves, and employers are advised to seek information on the procedure, for example, on the relevant union's website.
