Non-indexed variable rates to increase on 30 October
The Board of Gildi has decided to raise the variable non-indexed interest rate on older fund-member loans* by 0.25%, in line with the Central Bank of Iceland's recent policy rate increase. The change takes effect on Friday, 30 October. The fund's other interest rates remain unchanged for now.
Following the change, the fund's interest rate table will be as follows:
| Base loan | Supplementary loan | |
|---|---|---|
| (up to 60% loan-to-value) | (60–70% loan-to-value) | |
| Non-indexed – variable rate | 9.50% | 10.25% |
| CPI-indexed – variable rate | 4.30% | 5.05% |
| CPI-indexed – fixed rate | 4.30% | 5.05% |
*The change applies only to older fund-member loans, as the fund no longer offers loans with variable interest rates following a Supreme Court ruling issued last year concerning the terms of loans from Íslandsbanki.
