Information website on the proposed merger of Gildi and Festa

Gildi and Festa have launched a joint information website, www.gildiogfesta.is, about the proposed merger of the two funds. Fund members and the representative councils of both funds can find the key facts about the merger there, all in one place.

Among other things, the website covers the aims and expected benefits of the merger, how it will be carried out and the planned timeline. Fund members, pensioners and employers can select their fund on the website and see what the merger means for them. It also includes answers to frequently asked questions. The merger agreement, the proposed amendments to the articles of association of the merged fund and other documents relating to the merger are also available on the website.

The merger proposal will be put to a special annual general meeting of Festa on Wednesday, 4 November at 18:00, and to a special annual general meeting of Gildi on Thursday, 5 November at 17:00. Both meetings will be held at Grand Hótel Reykjavík and will also be streamed.
